For the 2019 model year, Honda decided to equip the Civic with a
number interior improvement sand a new sport trim to
sit between the base LX and mid-level EX trims. Now, those same changes have
made their way to the sportier Civic Si, which is good news. The 2019 Civic Si
Coupe and Sedan will arrive in dealers starting in November, offering a few key
changes on the interior. Honda hasn't drastically changed the Civic for 2019
but this mid-cycle refresh does fix a few of the minor
gripes we had when we first drove the car.
Aside from the interior changes and new
colors, the Si keeps its 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 205 horsepower
going out through a six-speed manual transmission. Pricing for the Coupe and
Sedan start at $24,300 plus an $850 destination fee. Fuel economy is identical
for both body styles - 28/38/32 mpg city/highway/combined.
These small changes may not do much to
drastically increase the Civic Si's appeal but it does improve most of the
gripes we had with the Civic, making it a more well-rounded car.
